Boxing Day Cruise More than 40 sailors sailed to Yau Ley in Rocky Harbour on Boxing Day to feast on some of the best seafood to be found on Hong Kong’s eastern seaboard. Never mind the haze, the crews enjoyed 6-7 knots of easterly wind (although some chose mechanical assistance to make it in time for lunch). First to arrive was Anahata, followed half an hour later by Jaqueline Boo, Paw Mark, Bucephalus and, last but not least, Harpseal. Ferried ashore by sampan, crews soon filled four enormous tables in the popular seafood restaurant. Then the beer and wine began to flow . . . |

After demolishing numerous servings of steamed prawns and deep fried squid, the happy sailors were addressed by vice commodore, Aaron Goach, who presented prizes for the Best Dressed Crew, Best Dressed Boat, Best Christmas Song, Best Dressed Fender and much more. Highlight of the ceremony was the Harpseals singing their version of Jingle Bells in Cantonese. Encore, encore! |
